Tip: It’s a good idea to clear the neighborhood before escorting Mericourt to make the upcoming sections a little easier. It’s recommended to be quick here and dispatch all enemies before meeting Mericourt. You’ll come across Mericourt at the top floor with a couple of Extremists and regular enemies. The reason for this is that these areas are teeming with many Extremists and regular enemies.Īfter arriving at Mericourt’s location using the main road, head inside from the open window and assassinate enemies inside. Locations of these sacks is highly randomized, but I would recommend getting to each sack with other assassins. Rewards: Handmade Sans-Culottes Coat, Handmade Napoleonic Bracers, Arno’s Tailored Hoodįrom your starting position, you’ll be required to investigate a couple of sacks containing secret messages. Lockpick the door if required and speak with Paton inside to complete this mission. Go through the archway and reach the catacombs on the right side. Reach the south side of the restricted area and look for Extremists marksmen and climb the rooftop to perform an aerial-assassination on two Extremists guarding the archway. Keep your eyes peeled on the Warden’s patrol and reach near the stairs. Classicnerd is saying the same things and he's not being a dick about itIf need be, don’t hesitate to snipe a few of them before moving forward. Don't be a condescending prick Sesheenku it's unnecessary. At least I like the story but it doesn't make up for it. I've been playing AC since it first came out and this one is by far the worst. Simple elements from previous games that have changed like lockpicking for instance, and this stupid sync points and helix points. The staggering strike takes too long and end up getting hit more than I care to. And I'm no stranger to countering in combat either but the reaction time is slow. Many of these new things are just a annoyances more than anything. It says hit L2 when near a window to enter I'm near a window. I had to freerun off that box that landed me half way up a building rather than just getting off the box. I don't press a lot of buttons to move, this is just basic walking, no running. The problem wasn't that it climbed on the box it was that it wouldn't get off of it. For example let's use basic movement, just yesterday I was playing and got a minor detection, as I turned and walked away it climbed on a box instead. There are many aspects of the movement and combat make this bad. As far as button mashing, that's not what I'm talking about.

You can't just say I don't like how it feels and say the game is bad and expect to be taken seriously by anyone intelligent.Ĭlick to expand.Dude I can say whatever I like. It worked well enough that when I screwed up I knew it was my fault. If you don't like the way it feels that's a personal problem, it doesn't make the game worse. (That's an actual good argument you COULD have used) Sure there are a lot of animations where you can only cancel out of them near the end but that's just something we have to deal with. When an enemy attacks you focus on countering and when you see an opening you get in an attack or two and prepare for countering again. You can't just mash B and hope to counter, you can't just mash attack and hope everything will go well, calm down and don't press buttons without making a deliberate and well thought out decision. It requires timing and not mashing in Unity. Click to expand. That's the thing about contextual buttons, sometimes it's not going to do what you want.Īs for it being slow, I never noticed that.
